Cleaning for Production Parts & Tooling

Laser cleaning for manufacturing and production environments requiring precision, repeatability, and surface integrity

What is manufacturing laser cleaning

Aerospace Laser Cleaning is a veteran-owned laser cleaning job shop on the I-25 corridor in Monument, working with fabricators, machine shops, coaters and restorers in Colorado Springs, Castle Rock, Peyton, Falcon, Fountain and the wider Colorado Front Range. Parts come in, are cleaned in our shop, inspected and documented, and go back.

Manufacturing laser cleaning is a precise, non-contact process used to remove coatings, oxides, contaminants, and residues from production components and equipment. It is widely used in industrial environments where consistency and surface integrity are critical.

Laser cleaning for manufacturing uses a controlled laser beam to remove unwanted surface layers such as rust, coatings, and contaminants. The process is highly accurate, allowing selective removal without impacting the base material.

Applications

Manufacturing laser cleaning is used for:

  • Surface preparation before coating or bonding
  • Removal of coatings, paints, and residues
  • Rust and oxide removal on production parts
  • Cleaning of molds, dies, and tooling
  • Maintenance of production line equipment

Benefits of manufacturing laser cleaning

  • Non-abrasive and non-contact process
  • No chemicals or blasting media required
  • Consistent and repeatable results
  • Minimal waste and cleanup
  • Preserves surface integrity and tolerances

Compatible materials

  • Steel
  • Aluminum
  • Stainless steel
  • Industrial alloys
  • Production tooling surfaces

Results

Manufacturing laser cleaning removes the contamination layer, leaving the base material intact and ready for the next stage of production. Surfaces are clean, consistent, and prepared for coating, bonding, or assembly.

Our process

Parts ship in, are cleaned in our Colorado shop, inspected, documented, and shipped back.

  1. Evaluation of part or production requirement
  2. Setup of laser parameters for manufacturing application
  3. Controlled cleaning process
  4. Final inspection and verification
