How it works

Parts in, parts out

A shop-based process with seven plain steps. No on-site work, no surprises — and no turnaround promise we cannot keep for every job.

The sequence

From your request to the part in your hand

Step 01 / Request

You send the details

Six short questions on the request form: what the part is, base material, what is on it, rough size and quantity, photos if you have them, and how to reach you. Flag anything flight- or safety-critical there — it changes how we handle the part.

Step 02 / Review

We read it and reply

A person reviews every request. If we need a dimension, a drawing note or a better photo, we ask. If laser cleaning is the wrong process for your part, we tell you that instead of quoting it.

Step 03 / Intake

Parts arrive and get tagged

Inbound shipment. Parts are counted, job-tagged and staged against your request so nothing gets separated from its paperwork.

Step 04 / Assessment

Test area first when it matters

On unfamiliar substrates, coatings or irreplaceable parts we run a small test area and confirm the result with you before continuing. Parameters get recorded against the job.

Step 05 / Cleaning

Controlled, extracted, monitored

The part is fixtured and cleaned in controlled passes with fume extraction at the source. Coverage is limited to the zone you asked for — masked or bounded, not blanket.

Step 06 / Inspection

Checked before it leaves the bench

Visual inspection against what you asked for, notes recorded on the job tag, and any observation worth telling you about goes in the handover message.

Step 07 / Return

Back to you, packed as it arrived

Return shipping. Parts go back protected the way they came in, with the job reference so you can match them to your order.

Before you ship

How to prepare and pack parts

  • Strip loose fluids, packing grease and heavy debris if you safely can — it shortens assessment.
  • Remove non-metallic components, seals and electronics where practical, or tell us what must stay on.
  • Mark the zone you want cleaned, or describe it in the request notes.
  • Include a copy of your job reference or PO in the box, and the RFQ reference from your request.
  • Pack against transit damage — machined faces protected, parts separated, box rated for the weight.
  • Send a safety data sheet if a coating or residue on the part is hazardous. This is a safety requirement, not a formality.

We confirm the ship-to address and any special instructions by email before you send anything.

Expectations

What we will and won’t commit to

We will

  • Give you an estimated scheduling window with your quote, based on current shop load.
  • Tell you before we start if a part looks unsuitable or risky.
  • Record process parameters so a repeat order runs the same way.
  • Keep you on email with a named human, not a ticket queue.

We won’t

  • Publish prices or turnaround times online — both depend on the part in front of us.
  • Quote a safety-critical part without confirming process limits with you first.
  • Travel to your site. This is an in-shop service.
  • Publish photos of your parts without your written approval.

Send us the part — we’ll tell you what’s possible.
