What is automotive laser cleaning

Aerospace Laser Cleaning is a veteran-owned laser cleaning job shop on the I-25 corridor in Monument, working with fabricators, machine shops, coaters and restorers in Colorado Springs, Castle Rock, Peyton, Falcon, Fountain and the wider Colorado Front Range. Parts come in, are cleaned in our shop, inspected and documented, and go back.

Automotive laser cleaning is a non-abrasive process that uses controlled laser energy to remove rust, paint, coatings, and surface contamination from automotive parts without cutting into the base metal. Because nothing touches the surface and no media is thrown at it, stamping marks, casting numbers, and factory seams survive the process instead of being blasted flat.

We work two sides of the automotive market from the same shop: restoration and project vehicles, where original detail and metal thickness matter, and production work for shops and suppliers, where molds, dies, and tooling need residue removed without losing dimensional accuracy.

Restoration and project vehicles

Bare frames, chassis and suspension components, brackets, engine and drivetrain hardware, and small parts that would be damaged or thinned by abrasive blasting.

Send dimensions and photos with your request. Larger items such as full frames and shells are assessed for size, access, and handling at intake before we accept them, and we will tell you plainly if a part is a poor fit for the process.

Thin sheet metal and body panels are evaluated carefully, since heat input has to stay low enough to avoid distortion. We test a small area first when a panel is thin or irreplaceable.

Our process

Parts ship in, are cleaned in our Colorado shop, inspected, documented, and shipped back. All work happens in the shop.
