Laser beam stripping rust and coating from a steel surface, sparks and vapor lifting off the bare metal

Laser cleaning services

Precision laser cleaning for industrial, aerospace and commercial applications.

Non-abrasive, chemical-free laser cleaning for rust removal, coating removal, paint removal and surface preparation — no media, no chemical baths, no dimensional loss. Ship the parts in; they leave clean, inspected and documented.

The problem

Blasting eats the part. Chemicals create a disposal problem.

Laser cleaning removes what is on the surface and stops at the substrate. That matters most when the part is expensive, dimensioned to a drawing, or headed back into a critical assembly.

01 / Substrate

No abrasive, no dimensional loss

Nothing is thrown at the part. Contaminant is ablated in a controlled pass, so machined surfaces, edges and tolerances stay as they were.

02 / Contamination

No grit trapped in the assembly

No media to work its way into threads, blind holes, bearing pockets or weld joints, and no slurry to rinse out afterwards.

03 / Control

Selective, repeatable coverage

Clean a defined zone and leave the rest coated. Parameters are recorded per part so a repeat order sees the same process.

04 / Waste

Dry process, extracted at source

Removed material is captured by fume extraction and filtration. No chemical stripping tank and no blast media to dispose of.

05 / Fit

Assessed part by part

Every request is reviewed against material, coating and geometry before we commit. If laser is the wrong tool for your part, we say so.

06 / Handling

Built for controlled parts

Job-tagged intake, safety-critical flagging on the request form, and inspection before the part leaves the bench.

How it compares

Where laser wins, and where it doesn’t

A straight read, not a sales sheet. Suitability is confirmed per part during assessment — some jobs genuinely belong in a blast cabinet.

  • Abrasive blastingFast on heavy scale, but removes substrate, rounds edges and leaves media behind.
  • Chemical strippingEffective on paint, but adds tank time, rinse water, hazardous waste and hydrogen-embrittlement questions.
  • Hand tools & wire wheelCheap and available, inconsistent and hard to keep off adjacent surfaces.
  • Laser cleaningSelective, dry, dimensionally gentle, repeatable — and slower per square inch on very heavy build-up.

Capabilities

Six things we do, all day

Same laser process, different problems. Details on each are on the services page.

Rust & oxidation removal — machined part shown part-cleaned in a precision shop

Rust & oxidation removal

Rust, mill scale and corrosion lifted off steel and cast iron without media, slurry or dimensional loss. The substrate underneath is left intact, so tolerances and surface geometry survive the process.

Steel · cast iron · weldments

Paint, film & coating removal — machined part shown part-cleaned in a precision shop

Paint, film & coating removal

Primer, topcoat, powder coat, adhesive residue and protective film removed selectively — whole part or a defined zone only, with a controlled edge where the coating stops.

Aluminum · steel · masked zones

Oxide & heat-tint removal — machined part shown part-cleaned in a precision shop

Oxide & heat-tint removal

Weld heat tint, discoloration and thin oxide layers cleared from stainless and alloy surfaces, returning a uniform matte finish without grinding the parent metal.

Who we work with

Aerospace and defense first, industry close behind

Our priority markets are aerospace and defense suppliers, then industrial and manufacturing shops that need parts cleaned without changing them. Restoration and motorsport work fits the same process.

  • Tier suppliers and MRO shops handling dimensioned components
  • Defense primes and subcontractors with controlled-part handling requirements
  • Machine shops, fabricators and weld shops needing pre- and post-weld prep
  • Restoration and motorsport builds where the substrate cannot be blasted

Our SDVOSB certification is held through the U.S. Small Business Administration and our SAM.gov registration is active. We claim no process certifications — no AS9100, no Nadcap, no ITAR registration — because we hold none. Ask us about a specific quality requirement and we will tell you plainly whether we can meet it.
